Brief History of Modern Pentathlon
Modern pentathlon was introduced by Baron Pierre de Coubertin, the founder of the modern Olympic Games, in 1912. Inspired by the skills required of an ideal soldier, it combines fencing, swimming, equestrian show jumping, laser shooting, and running. Over the years, this sport has evolved to embody versatility, endurance, and athletic excellence.
